We often associate Mother’s Day as the chance to go all out and plan a day or weekend’s worth of activities, and we rarely hear of the same amount of effort for our Dear Ol’ Dads. For the past couple of weeks we’ve been giving a few of our clients tips and ideas on just how to celebrate Father’s Day with style and create the perfect event to say ‘Thank you for all you’ve done Dad!’.
We compiled our Top 4 things we think you should consider for the awesome Father in your life…
1. Never rule out a personal day of Grooming!
Dad’s can also be known to never really having days off from duty and so we think it fit to give them a ‘personal day’ where they can indulge in true gentleman style grooming, What’s great is that it offers some true man time for your Dad and they also get some true styling advise and possibly some new grooming products to remind them of their time out. You can grab a voucher from a top of the line barbers and even if it’s not on the day, you can set a date to get Dad some much needed peace & quiet.
2. Keep him looking Dapper!
Create some one-on-one Dad time with a booking at your favourite suiting brand i.e. T.M.Lewin, Morts & More or Charles Tyrwhitt and book a fitting, something that can create a nice vibe to get to know your Dad’s taste in suiting and also some banter in the trials and tribulations of tailoring. Investing in a great suit for him is something he won’t forget and we’re sure he’ll appreciate.
3. Go-Karting anyone?
Ok you want to impress your Dad, or is he the competitive type? We all know the saying ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’… well we’re aren’t suggesting your Dad is dull but it may pay to get active with family and book a session of Go-Karting. What’s great is everyone can participate, so for those big families its a great outdoor activity and it brings out the competitive spirit in everyone.
4. Get on Your Bike!
With Boris bikes aka ‘Santander Cycles’ on every street corner, it’s easy to get bicycles up and running, and for those Dads that have to work long hours in an office, this will definitely be welcome, a day out cycling and a spot of lunch can do more than just lift spirits. Head to a nice open park, enjoy any chance of sun and maybe head to your local Gastropub for some great grub which will definitely go down a treat.
